Pakistan is planning to improve its football infrastructure. AFC President Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa told the Prime Minister that both the AFC and FIFA are ready to support Pakistan’s football stadium projects if the government provides land and timely facilitation.
Plans include building a new stadium and 11 FIFA‑standard arena pitches. The government has promised full support and land for the projects.
The first phase will see 11 small FIFA‑Arena pitches built soon. The first two will be at a government school in Islamabad to give students better playing surfaces and training opportunities.
A full-scale stadium will also be built in a city that will be announced after site selection and approvals.
The project aims to boost grassroots football and provide better venues for competitions and player development.
