Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that no global power can defeat Pakistan, emphasizing the urgent need for unity within the Muslim world.

He made the remarks while briefing the media on 29 November 2025 regarding his recent diplomatic engagements in Moscow.

Dar represented Pakistan at the SCO Leaders’ Summit held in Moscow on 17 and 18 November, where he met several regional heads and senior officials.

He said that Pakistan’s economic outlook, regional cooperation, and poverty reduction efforts were key subjects of discussion at the summit.

“We actively engaged with member states on enhancing trade, connectivity, and financial cooperation,” he noted.

He confirmed a significant meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which he invited the Russian leader to visit Pakistan.

The two sides also discussed bilateral trade, energy cooperation, and regional stability.

Dar added that member states also deliberated on the proposed SCO Bank and the broader use of local currencies for trade.

Dar reiterated Pakistan’s clear position that Afghan soil must not be used against Pakistan.

He said Pakistan stressed during the summit that peace, stability, and economic progress in Afghanistan are essential for the entire region.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar said Pakistan’s visibility and relevance on the international stage have significantly improved, crediting the country’s recent diplomatic engagements and strategic positioning.

He stated that Pakistan is now viewed as a more active and influential player in global affairs, with its voice carrying greater weight in multilateral forums.

Pakistan’s decisive response against aggressor Modi-led India in the Marka-e-Haq has further strengthened the country’s diplomatic standing.

FM Ishaq Dar thanked Field Marshal Asim Munir, along with the Air and Naval Chiefs, for what he called their crucial role in making Pakistan’s defense impregnable, capable of defending its sovereignty and advancing its national interests.
