Hot and dry weather is expected in many parts of Pakistan today, May 20, Wednesday. Some of the areas may also receive rain, thunderstorms, strong winds, and hailstorms.
Islamabad weather
According to the weather forecast for Wednesday, Islamabad and nearby areas are expected to remain hot and dry during the day.
However, rain with strong winds and thunderstorms is likely in the evening and night. Hailstorms are also expected at a few places.
KP weather
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), partly cloudy weather is expected in most districts. Rain with thunderstorms and strong winds may occur in Dir, Swat, Malam Jabba, Kohistan, Bajaur, Kalam, Chitral, Buner, Kohat, Abbottabad, Peshawar and Swabi.
Additionally, in areas of Mardan, Malakand, Parachinar, Kurram, Bannu, DI Khan, Lakki Marwat, Karak, and Waziristan. Hailstorms are also possible in some areas.
Punjab weather
Most districts of the Punjab province are expected to remain hot and dry today. While central and southern areas may experience very hot weather.
Rain with thunderstorms and strong winds is likely in Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal, Attock, Murree, Galliyat, Sargodha, Noorpur Thal, Khushab, Jhang, Mianwali, Layyah, and Bhakkar.
Sindh weather
In Sindh, most districts are expected to remain hot and dry. Upper districts may experience severe heat.
Balochistan weather
Most areas of Balochistan are likely to remain hot and dry. However, in the after noon, partly cloudy weather with rain, thunderstorms, strong winds, and possible hailstorms is expected. These are expected in Zhob, Sibi, Barkhan, Loralai, Musa Khel, and nearby areas.
Partly cloudy weather with rain and thunderstorms is also expected in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit Baltistan (GB). Hailstorms may also occur in some areas of Kashmir.
The highest temperatures recorded were 48°C in Dadu, while Noorpur Thal and Shaheed Benazirabad recorded 46°C.
