Indian television network Sun TV was hit by a cyberattack that disrupted its broadcasts, with screens displaying a Pakistani flag alongside the slogan “Pakistan Zindabad.”

According to details, unknown hackers gained access to the network’s internal broadcast management system, temporarily interrupting programming across multiple channels.

The attackers deployed ransomware, affecting around 1,800 domain systems and locking access to parts of the network’s digital infrastructure.

The incident has sparked online debate over India’s cybersecurity preparedness, with some commentators claiming it exposed weaknesses in the country’s digital infrastructure and broadcast security systems.

The incident would highlight the growing cybersecurity challenges facing media organizations and critical digital infrastructure.

Earlier, the Indians tried to hack a Pakistani local news channel, but it was just an unsuccessful attempt. In retaliation, Pakistan hacked Major Indian news channels when the Indian president was live on several channels.

Pakistani hackers hacked India’s major news channels and played Pakistan’s National Anthem on all the news channels.

Pakistani hackers sent a message to India by adding the text on their TV screen saying, “Indians, tell your masters not to mess with Pakistan.”
Pakistani hackers also added, “When you live in a glass house, don’t throw stones across the border.”
