Pakistani citizens warned against fake Kyrgyzstan visa website

Pakistani authorities have warned citizens about a visa scam on Monday involving a fake website that claims to offer online visa applications and verification services for Kyrgyzstan.

Authorities said that the website is pretending to be an official visa service. It may be used to steal personal and financial information from people applying for a visa.

People have been advised not to use the website for visa applications, document checks, payments or sharing personal details.

How to avoid fake visa websites?

Citizens should not enter sensitive information on websites that have not been verified. This includes passport numbers, CNIC details, bank account information and credit or debit card details.

People who are planning to apply for a Kyrgyzstan visa should only use the official visa portal. They can also use verified websites of Kyrgyz diplomatic missions.

Authorities have also asked people to report any suspicious links. Citizens should not forward or share such links with others.

What to do if I have already applied here?

If you have already used the fake website, you can file a complaint with the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) or the FIA complaint portal as cyber crimes.

Do not use the website anymore and do not give any more information. If you have entered your bank or card details, you can try contacting your bank immediately. Ask them to secure your account or block the card if needed.

If you shared your passport or CNIC details, report it to the relevant authorities. Also be very careful of any suspicious calls, messages or emails. You can also change any passwords you have entered on the website.
