Irfan Mehsood, a Pakistani martial artist from Dera Ismail Khan, has broken another Guinness World Record for ‘Most finger tip push ups carrying an 80 lb pack in one minute (male)’, previously held by Sverre Diesen from Norway.
Earlier this year, Diesen had completed 38 fingertip push-ups and took the record on May 30, 2025, in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Irfan Mehsud broke this record by completing 42 push-ups on June 2, 2025.
Mehsood now holds the world record for the most push-up categories, with 70 records at the world level. Most of these records were achieved while carrying weights of 100, 80, 60 and 40 pounds.
He has also set records in various other martial art categories, such as squats, step-ups, knee strikes, elbow strikes, high jumps, and star jumps.
Mehsud received the Presidential Award for Pride of Performance in 2023. While talking to the media, he expressed his pride in being the first Pakistani to set 150 Guinness World Records over the past nine years. On top of this, 20 of Mehsood’s students have also become sources of pride for the nation, as they too have set Guinness World Records.
Earlier in 2024, Irfan Mehsood became the first Pakistani athlete to achieve 100 Guinness World Records.
