The cricket team of Pakistan has reached at the Pallekel International Cricket stadium for a cricket training session.
According to team officials Pakistan will have a practice from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at the Pallekele Stadium as their preparation gears-up for the Super Eight stage of the tournament.
The national side will stage their last two Super Eight matches at Kandy.
Pakistan is due to play its second super eight match against the England cricket team tomorrow while its third match is due to be played with the Sri Lanka cricket team February 28th.
The training session is expected to be that of perfecting the strategies and matching the readiness before bout of crucial encounters.
It is pertinent to mention that the top two teams from each group following the end of the Super Eights stage will make it to the semi-finals scheduled to be played on March 4 and 5 respectively.
Since Pakistan will be playing all of their T20 World Cup 2026 matches in Sri Lanka as per ‘Fusion Formula’, the first semi-final will be played at the R Premadasa Stadium here subject to their qualification otherwise it will be hosted by Kolkata’s Eden Gardens.
Similarly the venue for the summit clash that is scheduled to be played on March 8 is subject to Pakistan’s qualification.
