The Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives has opened applications for the Overseas Pakistanis Summer Scholars Programme 2026 under the government’s URAAN Pakistan initiative.
The last date to apply for the programme is June 15, 2026.

The programme is aimed at Pakistan-origin students living abroad as well as foreign national students interested in learning about Pakistan’s development, governance and public policy sectors.
According to details shared by the ministry, selected participants will receive hands-on exposure to policy-making, development planning and public sector projects.
Students will also work under the mentorship of senior government officials and public policy experts.
The programme will be offered in two tracks, lasting six weeks and eight weeks.
The participants selected for the six-week programme will receive a stipend of Rs100,000, while students in the eight-week track will receive Rs120,000.

Officials said the initiative is intended to encourage talented young people from around the world to contribute ideas and perspectives related to Pakistan’s economic and social development.
The ministry described the programme as part of broader efforts linked to the government’s long-term economic vision, including plans aimed at expanding investment, innovation and youth engagement.
Applications are open until June 15, 2026, while the programme is scheduled to begin on July 1, 2026.
