Pakistan has finalised its 15-member squad for the upcoming Cricket World Cup.
Batter Babar Azam has held his place in the group and surprising exclusions include wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan and fast bowler Haris Rauf.
The batting line Salman Ali Agha, Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Fakhar Zaman, Shadab Khan, Usman Khan and Khawaja Nafay are included.
In the bowling department, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah will headline the fast-bowling unit, supported by Usman Tariq and Salman Mirza to provide depth and rotation options.
Earlier it was reported that Pakistan might suffer major blow, as the fast bowler Haris Rauf will likely miss the Pakistan squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup.
As per the sources, the head coach Mike Hesson is not in favor of including him since the Asia Cup final.
The fast bowler Haris Rauf is unlikely to be included in Pakistan’s squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup.
Sources say that Haris Rauf has not played any T20 matches for Pakistan since the conclusion of the Asia Cup, which has stuck his chances of selection.
The team management is said to be focusing on other pace options ahead of the mega event.
Now Haris Rauf is playing in Australia’s Big Bash League and he remains active in franchise cricket.
However, despite his ongoing performances, his absence from international T20s appears to have worked against him in the World Cup selection process.
