Pakistan’s emerging badminton player, Sarwat Fatima, delivered an outstanding performance at an international badminton event held in Malaysia, winning two gold medals and achieving a remarkable milestone in her sporting career. Her success has brought pride not only to the country but especially to the province of Balochistan.
Hailing from Balochistan, Sarwat Fatima showcased exceptional determination, hard work, and dedication to the sport, proving that strong commitment can lead to great achievements. She outperformed her competitors throughout the tournament, securing victories and raising Pakistan’s flag on the international stage.
Talking about her achievement, Sarwat Fatima said that the success was the result of her continuous hard work and sincere passion for badminton. She dedicated her victory to her father and the Pakistan Army, as she has always received great support and encouragement from her father and Pakistan Army.
She further expressed her desire to serve the country by becoming part of the Pakistan Army in the future.
It is worthy to mention that the Pakistan Army has been playing an important role in spotting the talented youth from remote parts of the country and presenting them in international spheres and Sarwat Fatima’s recent success is good evidence of this fact.
Pakistani athletes win gold and silver medals
Earlier, Pakistan secured one gold and one silver medal at the World Rowing Virtual Indoor Championships.
Abdul Rahman of Punjab University earned the gold medal in the lightweight category, while Punjab University’s Zarq Khan secured a silver medal in the open weight category.
In the lightweight division, Abdul Rahman from Punjab University secured the first place, with France finishing in second and Egypt in third.
In the open weight category, Latvia achieved the first position, while Zarq Khan from Pakistan Punjab University claimed the second position, and Germany took third place.
The virtual indoor competitions were conducted globally, with the Pakistan Rowing Federation participating from the Punjab University Sports Gymnasium at New Campus Lahore.
