LAHORE: After the defeat of Pakistani cricket team in the Asia Cup, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has cancelled the No Objection Certificates (NOC)s of all the national players.
A formal notification to this effect has been issued by PCB Chief Operating Officer Sumeer Ahmed.
As per the notification, the NOCs of all players allowing them to play in foreign leagues has been cancelled.
Although the PCB has not provided an official reason, but the decision seems to stem after the dismal progress of the national team in the Asia Cup especially after the humiliating defeat against India.
Earlier the PCB had issued NOCs to the players to participate in the Big Bash League. Now they have been put on hold.
The decision will effect major top cricketers such as Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Rizwan and Fahim Ashraf.
