The Pakistan Cricket Board has officially launched the ticket refund policy for the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) which brings some much needed clarity as the fans had already bought the tickets.
According to the announcement, all spectators who purchased tickets over the internet will receive their refunds automatically through the same means they used when purchasing tickets.
These include debit cards, credit cards, as well as popular digital wallets such as JazzCash and Easypaisa.
The board stressed that this automated system is aimed at providing a hassle-free experience for the customers eliminating the need for filing manual complaints about applications.
The process of refunding is set to be started on March 30, 2026 and is expected to be completed within 15 working days.
However, the PCB warned that there could be some variations in the processing times based on the individual banks and payment service providers.
Fans have been informed that nothing is to be done on their part to trigger the refund. In case of delays in addition to the said duration, customers are advised to contact their respective banks or payment platforms for further assistance.
This development comes very soon after the PCB made a surprising decision to play all matches in the PSL 11 behind closed doors due to a national crisis in petroleum and resource conservation as well as security in the region.
Additionally, the venue plan for the tournament has been reduced a lot.
Matches would now only be hosted at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, and National Stadium, Karachi instead of the initially planned six venues in multiple cities.
The decision represents a significant change for the league prioritising logistical and national considerations instead of in-stadium fan attendance.
