Web Desk: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has instructed fast bowler Shaheen Afridi to come back home from the BIG Bash League (BBL) to undergo for his knee treatment.
According to the sources the decision was taken for long term fitness of the pacer. Shaheen Afridi got injured during Brisbane Heat’s match against Adelaide Strikers when he leaves the field mid-game after completing just 3 overs for 26 runs.
Sources said that the decision was taken by PCB to make sure the long-term fitness of the pacer before the Pakistan’s upcoming T20 world cup campaign in February.
Shaheen Afridi who is a leading player of the team for the recent team and the board wants to ensure his fitness for availability to play for his country in the international tournament.
The sources said that the PCB will issue a statement regarding the confirmation of Shaheen’s return in the coming days.

This has caused serious concerns for Pakistani cricket lovers, especially ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup.
Shaheen Afridi injury scare
The left-arm pacer looked uncomfortable midway through his spell and was seen pointing toward his knee before walking off the field.
Shaheen was unable to complete his full four overs and ended with figures of three overs for 26 runs. He was later ruled out for the rest of the match.
A team official confirmed that Shaheen will undergo a medical assessment over the next 24 to 48 hours to find out the seriousness of the injury.
The KFC Big Bash League posted regarding the injury scare, stating, “Shaheen Afridi left the ground in some discomfort, hoping for a quick recovery.” But now according to the sources Shaheen Afridi has been instructed to come back home for treatment ahead of T20 world cup.
