Petrol Price in Pakistan

The Finance Division announced that, following input from OGRA and relevant ministries, fuel prices have been revised for the next fortnight effective from November 1st, 2025.

Petrol price in Pakistan now stands at Rs265.45 per litre.

MS (petrol) rises by Rs2.43 to Rs265.45 per litre (from Rs263.02), while High Speed Diesel (HSD) increases by Rs3.02 to Rs278.44 per litre (from Rs275.42).

Petrol prices in Pakistan change frequently usually every fortnight based on a mix of global oil rates, the rupee-dollar exchange rate, and government taxes and levies.

The energy regulator (OGRA) calculates an import parity cost using international benchmarks and the current exchange rate, then adds freight, dealer and distributor margins, and the inland freight equalisation margin (IFEM).

The finance ministry decides how much of that cost to pass on by adjusting the petroleum levy and any sales tax, so prices can rise or fall even if global oil stays steady.
