The petrol price has been reduced by Rs12. An official notification has been issued by the government of Pakistan to confirm the reduction.
As per the notification issued, the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) has reduced the prices of petrol by Rs12.
The new price of petrol is 366.58. The new prices will be in effect from April 11, 2026.
There was a decrease of Rs11.83 in the petrol price.
The government has also announced a major cut in diesel prices, by decreasing the diesel price from Rs520.35 to Rs378.41.
The price has been decreased by Rs134.81.
PM Shehbaz announces new petrol price
The Prime Minister (PM) of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, on April 10, announced a decrease in both petrol and diesel prices.
As per his latest announcement, the new prices will be in effect from today.
PM Shehbaz said that the subsidy on petrol for bikers will not be lifted.
Shehbaz Sharif added that it is a historic day for Pakistan, and we thank Allah for this.
He stated that the ceasefire between the US and Iran is a significant and historic success of Pakistan.

Trump announces ceasefire between US and Iran
The US President, Donald Trump, announced a ceasefire for two weeks on April 8, 2026.
There will be no strikes in Iran for 14 days, said the US President.
In his post on Truth Social, Trump said that based on the conversation held with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, I agree to suspend the bombing and attack of Iran for a period of two weeks.
