Will petrol pumps remain closed from May 1 to 5? APPPOA responds

The All Pakistan Petroleum Pumps Owners Association (APPPOA) has denied reports of a countrywide strike and closure of petrol pumps from May 1 to 5, today, on Thursday.

Before this, there were speculations that had been circulating on social media claiming that petrol pumps across Pakistan would remain closed during this period. The whole situation caused confusion among the public.

However, the association has now made it clear that there is no truth in these claims.

APPPOA Vice Chairman Nauman Ali Butt said that the reports are baseless and have no link with the organisation.

He said all petrol pumps across the country will remain open as per routine and will continue to provide an uninterrupted fuel supply to the public.

Nauman Ali Butt also stated that petrol pump owners do not support any strike. He added that they are committed to make sure of smooth availability of petroleum products nationwide.

He urged the public not to believe in rumours and to rely on verified information. He further added that petrol pumps are operating normally across the country.
