A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) passenger plane on Tuesday made an emergency landing at the Islamabad Airport after it developed a technical fault during flight.
According to details, PIA flight PK-309 was travelling from Islamabad to Karachi when a technical issue emerged shortly after take-off.
The pilot acted swiftly and safely returned the aircraft to Islamabad Airport.
Reports said the fault was detected nearly half an hour after take-off. After identifying the issue, the pilot immediately contacted air traffic control and obtained permission for an emergency landing before turning the plane back.
Fortunately, the aircraft landed safely and all passengers remained unharmed.
A PIA spokesperson confirmed the technical fault and said engineers are carrying out a detailed inspection of the aircraft to ensure passenger safety.
The spokesperson added that after alternate arrangements, flight PK-309 will now depart for Karachi again at 1:20am.
