In a nail-biting contest at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, Peshawar Zalmi chased down a formidable 215-run target set by Rawalpindi Pindiz, securing victory by 5 wickets in the final over.
The match, the third of PSL 11, saw Zalmi dig deep under pressure, with the team crossing the finish line just in time to keep fans on the edge of their seats.
Peshawar Zalmi scored an impressive 77 runs in the last 30 balls. Brendon Bracewell played an unbeaten innings of 35 runs off 17 balls, while Abdul Samad contributed 33 runs off 11 balls. Mohammad Haris was the top scorer for Zalmi with 47 runs. Captain Babar Azam added 39 runs, and Kusal Mendis scored 31 runs.
Earlier, Rawalpindi posted a total of 214 runs, with Yasir Khan top-scoring with 83 runs. Mohammad Rizwan contributed 40 runs, and Kamran Ghulam scored 37 runs.
With this win, Peshawar Zalmi continues their strong start to the season, while Rawalpindi Pindiz will look to bounce back in their upcoming fixtures.
