Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif held a telephonic discussion with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, to condemn the dangerous regional escalation following the recent Israeli attack on Iran and the subsequent strikes affecting the UAE and other Gulf states.
During the conversation, Prime Minister Sharif conveyed Pakistan’s strong denunciation of the events, describing the situation as a grave threat to regional peace and stability.
He also expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of a Pakistani national in Abu Dhabi, extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
“We stand in full solidarity with the UAE,” the prime minister said, underscoring Pakistan’s unwavering support for its Gulf partner during these difficult times. “We will always stand by our Emirati brothers and sisters,” he added.
Both leaders reaffirmed the importance of de‑escalation and continued diplomatic engagement to prevent further violence and instability in the region.
The call reflects enduring ties between Islamabad and Abu Dhabi, with Pakistan reiterating its commitment to peace and security in the Gulf and across the wider Middle East.
Speak with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif spoke to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
During the phone call, he expressed “Pakistan’s strong condemnation of the dangerous regional escalation following the Israeli attack on Iran and subsequent attacks in the Gulf region”, adding that Pakistan stands in full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and our brotherly Gulf countries.
“We remain ready to play a constructive role for peace and pray that the blessings of Ramadan bring calm and stability to our region”, he stated in a post on X.
