Prime Minister (PM) of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, has said that there will be no compromise on the defence of Pakistan, which will not tolerate any threat to its security or sovereignty.

He said the country and its armed forces remain united in defending the nation.

Speaking publicly, the prime minister said Pakistan can respond to any internal or external threat.

He added that the country continues to promote peace in the region but would not allow its peaceful stance to be seen as weakness.

Unity between nation and armed forces

The prime minister said the people of Pakistan and the armed forces stand together in protecting the country. He said there would be no compromise on national security.

He described Pakistan’s military as professionally trained and equipped with modern defence systems.

According to him, the armed forces are prepared to respond to any aggressive move against the country.

Officials said the prime minister expressed confidence in the military’s training standards and operational readiness.

Peace message to the region

While stressing defence readiness, the prime minister also highlighted Pakistan’s desire for regional peace.

He said Pakistan has consistently supported stability and cooperation with neighbouring countries.

However, he added that peaceful policies should not be interpreted as weakness. Pakistan would respond strongly to any security challenges, he said.

The prime minister also praised the role of Pakistan’s security institutions in maintaining stability.

He said the armed forces are performing their duties with professionalism and dedication.

He stated that Pakistan’s defence strategy is designed to deal with both internal security threats and external challenges.

Officials said the statement comes amid ongoing regional security concerns, although no specific threat was mentioned during the speech. The government said it will continue monitoring the security situation.
