Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman held a telephone conversation to discuss the latest regional situation and the impact of rising tensions.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, the two leaders exchanged views on regional and global peace and stability, as well as ongoing diplomatic efforts.
During the call, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for Saudi Arabia and condemned attacks targeting the Kingdom’s security and sovereignty. He stated that Pakistan would always stand firmly alongside Saudi Arabia.

In a separate development, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, took to the social media platform X, formerly Twitter, to announce that the country is ready to host and facilitate the talks between the United States (US) and Iran a day earlier.
In the tweet, the Prime Minister stated that Pakistan welcomes and fully supports ongoing efforts to pursue dialogue to end the WAR in the Middle East.
‘In the interest of peace and stability in the region and beyond,’ he added.
The prime minister further added, “Subject to concurrence by the US and Iran, Pakistan stands ready and honoured to be the host to facilitate meaningful and conclusive talks for a comprehensive settlement of the ongoing conflict.”
FO Tahir Andrabi: Islamabad prepared to host US-Iran talks
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, Tahir Andrabi, on Tuesday, stated that Islamabad is ready to host negotiations between the United States (US) and Iran amid the ongoing regional conflict.
Foreign Office spokesperson Andrabi further said that Pakistan is willing to host talks between the US and Iran if all parties agree.
While addressing the CNN, the FO spokesperson reinstated Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and stability.

Pakistan is likely to host talks between the United States and Iran later this week, according to a claim by US journalist and South Asia analyst Michael Kugelman, as Islamabad steps up efforts to position itself as a mediator in rising regional tensions.
In a post on X, Kugelman said Pakistan has recently been pitching itself as a mediator, noting that Washington had previously praised Islamabad’s willingness to play a role in facilitating dialogue between the US and Iran.
