PM Shehbaz Sharif reaffirms solidarity with Kuwait

Pakistan has reaffirmed its strong support for Kuwait following recent attacks, as Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephonic conversation with Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Sabah.

During the call, the prime minister extended warm Eid ul Fitr greetings to the Kuwaiti leadership, including Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and the people of Kuwait. He strongly condemned the recent attacks in the Gulf country and expressed heartfelt condolences over the loss of precious lives.

PM Shehbaz Sharif wrote on X, “Spoke with His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait, and conveyed warm Eid-ul-Fitr greetings and best wishes for His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, as well as the people of Kuwait.

I strongly condemned the recent attacks on Kuwait, extended heartfelt condolences on the loss of precious lives, and reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with our Kuwaiti brothers and sisters. We agreed on the importance of dialogue, unity, and collective efforts to ensure peace and stability in the region.

Reiterated my invitation to His Highness to undertake an official visit to Pakistan at his convenience and accepted a most gracious invitation from the Crown Prince to visit Kuwait on mutually convenient dates.”

Reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity, Shehbaz Sharif said that the nation stands firmly with its Kuwaiti brothers and sisters during this difficult time. Both leaders agreed on the importance of dialogue, unity, and collective efforts to ensure lasting peace and stability in the region.

The conversation also highlighted growing bilateral ties, with the prime minister reiterating his invitation to the Crown Prince to visit Pakistan. In return, he accepted a gracious invitation to visit Kuwait on mutually convenient dates.

The exchange reflects the close and friendly relations between Pakistan and Kuwait, particularly in times of crisis.
