PM Shehbaz to visit Saudi Arabia on invitation of Crown Prince MBS

Shehbaz Sharif phones Muhammad Bin Salman

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to travel to Riyadh within the next 48 hours after receiving an invitation from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, according to media reports.

During his visit to Saudi Arabia, a long-time ally of Pakistan, the premier is likely to discuss key regional and global developments, reflecting ongoing diplomatic coordination between the two nations.

The trip comes after recent high-level talks held in Islamabad, which marked the first direct meeting between the US and Iran in over a decade and the most significant engagement since the Iranian Revolution.

The prime minister will be accompanied by Chief of Defence Forces Asim Munir, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and Special Assistant Syed Tariq Fatemi.

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb is also expected to join the delegation in Riyadh, subject to the completion of his ongoing visit to the United States.
