ISLAMABAD: In a big relief for applicants, the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) has decided to address the complaints related to the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT).
According to a private news outlet quoting sources, PMDC will address the complaints by introducing major reforms.
The council will develop a new framework for the MDCAT system within the next one to two weeks. The reforms will be directed towards resolving the complaints and problems reported during MDCAT 2025.
After the completion of the framework, the committee will meet this month to review and discuss recommendations and use of modern technology in the examination process will also be discussed.
Officials say the new MDCAT exam model will be designed to meet international standards, ensuring a fair and transparent admission process for future medical and dental students.
SZABMU MDCAT 2025 Results
Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU) earlier announced the results of the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025, held on October 26 across the country.
Over 140,000 students had registered for the MDCAT, a compulsory test for admission to medical and dental colleges across Pakistan.
The results were announced for candidates from Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), and the International Center Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
According to official figures, 6,229 candidates were registered for the MDCAT exam, out of which 5,895 appeared, marking a participation rate of 94.64 per cent.
KMU announces MDCAT 2025 results
Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar, also announced the results of the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025.
As per details, KMU declared the results within a record 24 hours. The test was conducted peacefully and transparently setting a new benchmark for efficiency and professionalism.
A total of 39,986 candidates were registered for the examination. Out of these, 38,447 candidates, 96 percent, appeared 4 percent, were absent. Additionally, one case was reported under Unfair Means (UFM).
