The internal conflict within the Indian system has been exposed. The 17 Rashtriya Rifles stormed a police station following an FIR filed against military officers. A video of the incident has surfaced.
SSP had lodged an FIR against an Indian Army Major and a Lieutenant Colonel of the 17 Rashtriya Rifles a few days earlier. However, in retaliation, personnel from the 17 Rashtriya Rifles allegedly stormed the police station.
According to details, police filed an FIR against an Indian Army Major and a Lieutenant Colonel, which reportedly left the officers deeply hurt. In response, the personnel allegedly stormed a police station and assaulted police personnel.
This is being cited as an example of violent extremism and the breakdown of law and order in India. It is claimed that in the Modi era, a “might makes right” situation prevails in the country.
It is also viewed that some members of the Indian Army, distressed by their situation, have engaged in acts of retaliation, sometimes targeting ordinary citizens and sometimes officials of institutions.
The Atholi police station was reportedly raided, during which military personnel were seen entering the station in a video showing vandalism and rising tension.
In the video, officers of the 17 Rashtriya Rifles can be seen forcing their way into the police station in the Atholi area of Kishtwar district, during which weapons and sticks were also visible.
