The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) leadership expelled 10 leaders, due to them violating party discipline and decisions during the 2026 elections.
PPP AJK President Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin issued orders terminating the memberships of the 10 leaders. A notification regarding the decision was sent to PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and other senior party leaders.

- Vice president Sardar Inayatullah Arif
- PPP Haveli district president Sheikh Khursheed
- Former LA-44 Valley Rawalpindi ticket-holder Hamza Majeed Bazmi
- Malik Yousaf from Kotli
- Rashid Baninan from Kotli
- Former Sidhnoti ticket-holder Sardar Rais Inqalabi
- Former PPP City Mirpur general secretary Raja Zulfiqar Zulfi
- PPP Mirpur Division General Secretary Chaudhry Abdul Rehman
- Jammu vice president Shaukat Wazir Ali
The expulsions came after Bilawal Bhutto Zardari chaired a meeting of party officials and ticket-holders in Muzaffarabad. The meeting was also attended by former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, Chaudhry Latif Akbar, Chaudhry Yasin, and Faisal Mumtaz Rathore.
Speaking at the gathering, Bilawal said the PPP always stood by the people of Kashmir and would continue to do so. He mentioned that he had discussed food supply issues for the people of Kashmir with the deputy prime minister and explored ways to resolve them.
Bilawal also remarked, “You made a record of 30 days of protest.” Protest cannot be for a lifetime,” urging demonstrators to end their protest and pursue dialogue instead.
He added that history had shown that rights could not be secured through extreme measures, and to work within the system to achieve political goals. Bilawal also criticised political parties that choose to boycott the electoral process.
