Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Sunday announced new office-bearers for the Lahore division as part of the party’s organisational restructuring.
The party held a ceremony at the Peoples Secretariat in Model Town, where Lahore Division President Faisal Mir presided over the event and handed official appointment letters to the newly appointed divisional and town office-bearers.
At the divisional level, the party appointed Shahid Abbas Advocate as Senior Vice President. Amir Nasir Butt, Maqsooma Bukhari, Zeeshan, and Tahira Jalib were named Vice Presidents. Khurram Farooq was appointed Deputy General Secretary, while Ahmad Ghuman, Asjad Malik, and Hassan Abbas were named Deputy Information Secretaries. The party also appointed Asghar Bhatti as Finance Secretary, Nabil Nasir as Secretary Records and Events, and Atif Khokhar as Office Secretary.
Senior leaders of the party, including Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and Hassan Murtaza, congratulated the newly appointed office-bearers. They said the new organisational setup would strengthen the party and help it raise public issues more effectively.
Speaking at the event, Faisal Mir said the meeting was the first organisational gathering of PPP Lahore, where the party formally announced structures for the city’s seven towns. He added that the party continues to follow the ideology of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and that Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is moving the party forward by bringing the younger generation into politics.
