The professional football club, Crystal Palace’s Premier League home game against Burnley has suffered delays due to traffic. The club shared the news on Wednesday, in a post on X.
The post read: “Due to heavy traffic in the area, tonight’s kick-off has been postponed until 19:40.” Because of traffic, Burnley was late to the ground.
When they tried to get to Selhurst Park, they sat in traffic for twenty-five minutes, despite the fact that they were staying at a nearby hotel. The reason behind the increased traffic in the area has not been revealed, although some fans have stated that Palace shouldn’t start games early in the evening for that exact reason.
“Serves the TV companies right,” remarked one fan. Selhurst should never have a 19point-30 KO. Together with Nottingham Forest vs. Wolves and Aston Villa vs. Brighton, the game was initially set for 19:30 p.m.
While Sunderland vs. Liverpool begins at 20:15, Manchester City vs. Fulham is scheduled to begin at 19:30. The Eagles are currently seven points outside of the top six and eight points above the relegation zone in 13th place in the Premier League standings.

However, Burnley is 11 points from safety and fighting for their lives in the relegation zone. Fans must wait a little longer to witness the home team’s two home debuts, but they are nonetheless there.
In addition to Daichi Kamada making his 50th Premier League appearance, Jorgen Strand Larsen and Evann Guessand both start in attack.
Before winning their most recent local derby against Brighton, Crystal Palace had lost eight straight Premier League games since December 7. Macclesfield also eliminated them from the FA Cup during that period.
