LAHORE: Dr. Nabiha Ali Khan, a well-known clinical psychologist, former news anchor, and digital influencer made headlines not only by getting married to her colleague. However the price tag of Dr Nabiha’s wedding dress is also shocking.
Dr Nabiha tied the knot with her colleague Haris Khokhar on Friday night. Renowned scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil performed the Nikkah.
The couple dressed in coordinated off-white outfits.
When asked about her wedding dress Dr Nabiha replied that she was wearing a bridal dress by designer Hina Salman, reportedly worth one crore rupees, along with jewelry of the same value.
The value of Dr Nabiha’s wedding dress has caused a debate on the social media. Some argued that everyone has the right to spend on their happiness, while others said that amid widespread economic hardship, such displays of wealth are morally inappropriate.
The ceremony was attended by several notable figures, including Farah Iqrar and other media personalities.
Dr. Nabiha shared that the Walima is planned for next month and will be a grand affair, expected to be widely shared on social media.
