Prince William and Kate's new portrait surprises fans on social media

Prince William and Kate took to Instagram with a new portrait pleasantly surprising fans following their recent departure from tradition.

Captured by the emerging British-Nigerian photographer Christianah Ebenezer prior to the Nigerian State Banquet at Windsor, the image features the couple standing side by side.

Prince William and Kate made a remarkable fashion statement in a flowing green gown designed by Andrew Gn, subtly paying homage to Nigeria’s national colors.

Her look was enhanced by the iconic Lover’s Knot Tiara, marking her first tiara appearance of the year, complemented by heirloom earrings previously worn by Queen Elizabeth II.

The regal ensemble was completed with the Royal Family Order of King Charles and the GCVO sash and star.

Prince William coordinated in a full white tie and a Windsor tailcoat, presenting a picture-perfect royal couple ahead of the prestigious evening.

For Ebenezer, this moment represented a significant milestone.

Born in Lagos and raised in London, the photographer described the experience as a “true honour.”
