Meanwhile, students also complained about facing hardships while going to schools in the extremely cold weather.

Exams banned during winter holidays

Earlier it was reported that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Private Schools Regulatory Authority (PSRA) stated that private educational institutions were strictly prohibited from conducting examinations during the winter vacation period.

According to the notification issued, several private schools had scheduled exams despite clear instructions forbidding such practices.

In the notification, the PSRA directed all concerned institutions to immediately withdraw any examination plans announced for the winter holidays.

The authority said that failure to comply would result in strict disciplinary measures under the KP-PSRA Act, 2017, along with the regulations framed in 2018. It is said that no exceptions would be granted and that all previously issued directives must be followed in letter and spirit.
