The well-known Bollywood actor, Priyanka Chopra was married to American singer Nick Jonas in 2018. There were rumours that the couple is going to break up. However, Priyanka Chopra has clarified in a statement about the rumours of a breakup between her and Nick Jonas.

Priyanka Chopra said, “We’re eight years in, if people want to keep waiting for it to implode, that’s their choice. I stopped thinking about it.”

Priyanka reflected on marrying Nick just six months after meeting him, she remarked, “When I first married him, I didn’t know if it was even real. This is part of him. Because I was like, ” This is crazy. This is put on. But Nick has this absolute sincerity. It inspires me every day in a profession which requires you to pivot and become whatever you need to put on. He’s constantly sincere.

“His parents are the most wonderful, levelheaded, absolute saints, so I can see where it comes from. But it’s such a disarming quality about him.”

The famous actress also reacted to how her marriage to Nick “rubbed people the wrong way.”

She said while speaking to a media outlet, “I think there was the intercultural nature of it — different countries, different religions, age gap. It was very hurtful.”

Priyanka Chopra further said that these rumours now don’t bother us at all.  

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have one child together, a daughter named Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, who was born in January 2022 via surrogate. As of early 2026, she is 4 years old.
