‘Propaganda exposed’: Afghan Deputy spokesperson says 492 rehab patients safe

Pakistan Rejects Misleading Statement by Afghan Taliban Spokesperson

A statement by Afghan Deputy Spokesperson Hamdullah Fitrat has claimed that 492 individuals from a rehabilitation centre are alive and have been shifted to a secure location.

The spokesperson shared a list of these individuals on his X, formerly Twitter. He assured the public of their safety.

However, questions have been raised over earlier claims by Afghanistan regarding casualties, as no names of those reportedly killed have been provided.

This should also be noted that the facility was relatively small and may not have had the capacity to accommodate the large number of patients being reported, reports suggest.

Reports added that claims of high casualties appear exaggerated and may be part of a narrative aimed at defaming Pakistan.

Afghan Taliban allegations against Pakistan

Atta Tarar, the Minister of Information and Broadcasting of Pakistan, responded to accusations by the Afghan Taliban regime. He stated that they are further lying by alleging that Pakistan targeted a drug rehabilitation hospital in Kabul.

“This claim is completely baseless,” he had said.

“Pakistan, in its ongoing war on terror, is only targeting those military and terrorist targets, including the Afghan Taliban regime’s infrastructure,” he said.

Further, he added, “These are being used directly or indirectly to plan, facilitate, shelter, train or encourage terrorist attacks inside Pakistan.

Khawaja Asif

Responding to the statement made by Tarar, Khawaja Asif said, “This claim is coming from those who attack mosques. Martyr worshippers with their heads bowed.”

He added that these are the people who target unarmed citizens, markets and schools. These statements are coming from those who bathe innocent children in blood, he added.

Further, he pointed out the smuggling of drugs, which he‘Claim coming from those who attack mosques:’ Khawaja Asif condemns Afghan Taliban allegations against Pakistan stated is their source of income.

“We have made many mistakes in our 78 year history, but their hospitality is the most blatant mistake. May Allah forgive us, Ameen,” he concluded.
