The Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) has officially unveiled the voice behind their much-awaited season 11 anthem confirming the lead artist of the tournament’s official song to be Atif Aslam.
The news was released on the social media of the league, with PSL hinting at a “new era” while saying that Atif Aslam is a legendary voice.
The reveal has already caused some excitement as fans get ready for the upcoming one.
This will be the second time in which Atif Aslam has sung a PSL anthem. He has previously appeared in the seventh season track Agay Dekh where he worked with Aima Baig.
PSL 11 will take place from March 26th to May 3rd for 39 days. This season debuts with eight teams, with two new franchises: Pindiz and Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen.
A total of 44 matches will be played with each team playing 10 games in the group stage. The top four sides will enter the playoffs – up to the grand final.
Defending champions Lahore Qalandars will start off the tournament against Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen at home on March 26.
The final is scheduled to be played at the Gaddafi Stadium on May 3, with May 4 as a contingency day in case.
Matches will be played in six venues – Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Peshawar. There are matches of the PSL scheduled to be played for the first time at Faisalabad and Peshawar.
Among the venues, Gaddafi Stadium will host the most number of matches and it will be followed by Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Other fixtures will be spread among the Iqbal Stadium, National Bank Stadium and the Multan Cricket Stadium.
Furthermore, Imran Khan Cricket Stadium will be hosting a game of Peshawar Zalmi vs Pindiz on March 28.
