The Karachi Kings and the Lahore Qalandars have announced their retention prices for the upcoming Pakistan Super League season 11 (PSL 11) ahead of the player auction set to take place on February 11.
According to the details, the retention amount shared for the next week’s player auction, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shadab Khan, Babar Azam, Hasan Ali, and Abrar Ahmed have been kept in the platinum category.
Team wise details for the Lahore Qalandars and the Karachi Kings are as follows.
Lahore Qalandars: defending champions
Shaheen Shah Afridi is in the Platinum category for Rs7 crore.
Player Abdullah Shafique has been retained for Rs2.2 crore. The all-rounder from Zimbabwe, Sikandar Raza, has been secured for Rs2.8 crore.
Additionally, Muhammad Naeem has been retained for Rs70 lac.

For Lahore Qalandars, from a pool of 13 players, Shaheen Afridi, Fakhar Zaman, and Haris Rauf were catgorised asplatinum players.
Diamond features Abdullah Shafique and Mohammad Salman Mirza. The Gold category has Zaman Khan, Jahandad Khan, Asif Afridi, and Asif Ali.
In the Silver category, Lahore kept Mohammad Akhlaq, Mohammad Naeem, and Mohammad Azab, with Momin Qamar listed in the Emerging category.

Karachi Kings
The Karachi Kings retained Hasan Ali, Abbas Afridi, Khushdil Shah, and Saad Baig, leaving their Silver slot empty.
Karachi Kings also revealed the retention prices for their four players.
Hasan Ali was retained in Platinum for Rs47.6 million, Abbas Afridi in Diamond for Rs30.8 million, Khushdil Shah in Gold for Rs33.6 million, and Saad Baig in Emerging for Rs6 million.
Sikandar Raza has been retained for Rs2.8Cr, Devon Conway for Rs6.3Cr, and Moeen Ali for Rs6.44Cr, according to the reports.

Each franchise has a total budget of PKR 450 million for PSL 11, with an extra PKR 55 million reserved for direct signings.
This season is historic as the PSL has replaced the traditional draft system with an auction for the first time.
