PSL 11th edition draft likely on Jan 30

The draft for the much-awaited 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is expected to take place on January 30, 2026.

The inner sources have revealed that PSL management is working to resolve all outstanding issues ahead of the draft, with initial planning already underway.  Officials aim to finalize key matters promptly to ensure smooth proceedings.

The venue and final date of the draft will be officially announced in the coming days. Owners, coaches, and other representatives from all eight franchises are expected to attend the event.

Sources further indicated that the PSL 11 draft is likely to be scheduled during the T20 series between Pakistan and Australia, taking place on a one-day interval between matches.

The upcoming draft will be a crucial step in shaping team squads for PSL 11, as franchises look to strengthen their line-ups ahead of the new season.

Season 11 of the PSL will be historic as the league has officially expanded from six to eight teams for the first time. Two new franchises, Hyderabad and Sialkot were confirmed following a high-profile auction held at the Jinnah Convention Centre in Islamabad.

The Sialkot franchise was acquired by the FKS Group for Rs1.75 billion, while OZ Developers secured the Hyderabad franchise for Rs1.85 billion after competitive bidding. The official names, logos, and branding of both teams will be unveiled at a later stage.
