Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise owners have urged Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to allow fans back into stadiums, saying the tournament feels incomplete without live crowds.
Several team owners took to social media, calling for permission to reopen stadiums to spectators and restore the electric atmosphere that defines the PSL, according to media reports.
Lahore Qalandars owner Atif Rana said the league is a celebration of Pakistan cricket but lacks its true spirit without fans. He appealed to both the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister to permit the return of spectators.
Multan Sultans owner Gohar Shah echoed the sentiment, urging authorities to take action and saying, we all want the fans to come back.
Rawalpindi team owner Ahsan Tahir stated, “There is no cricket without fans. Cricket is the legacy of the Pakistani people, and it thrives on their passion.”
Peshawar Zalmi owner Javed Afridi said, ‘The Pakistan Super League unites people, and the passion and presence of fans are the true soul of the PSL.’
Islamabad United owner Ali Naqvi added, “The energy of the fans in the stadium is the heartbeat of the PSL. Without them, it feels incomplete.”
Hyderabad Kingsman owner Fawad Sarwar said, “We missed the fans greatly in the first match. Let the crowd once again roar in the stadium with every boundary and wicket.” A Karachi Kings owner also expressed disappointment, saying, “It is sad to see empty stadiums during the PSL.”
