Web Desk: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has filed a disqualification reference against Senator Saifullah Abro over alleged floor crossing.
The reference was submitted by PTI’s Parliamentary Leader in the Senate, Senator Ali Zafar.
As per the reference that Saifullah Abro violated the party instructions and voted in favor of the 27th Constitutional Amendment in violation of party directions.
PTI’s parliamentary party had unanimously decided to oppose the amendment and written instructions were issued by the parliamentary leader to all members.
The reference said that despite these clear directions, Saifullah Abro voted in support of the amendment on November 10 and 15, 2025. PTI has requested that he be declared disqualified under the relevant constitutional provisions.
The party has further urged that the reference be forwarded to the Election Commission of Pakistan at the earliest. Deputy Parliamentary Leader Senator Aun Abbas Bappi formally submitted the reference to the Secretary Senate.
