PTI founder Imran Khan’s complete medical check-up was completed at Adiala Jail on Sunday.
The sources revealed that a specialised medical team conducted a comprehensive eye examination of PTI founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail.
The examination was carried out under the supervision of senior doctors who remained inside the jail premises for approximately one hour.
Sources said the medical team focused specifically on assessing Khan’s eye health and brought specialised ophthalmic equipment to facilitate a detailed evaluation.
The team comprised experienced medical professionals, including Dr Farooq, Dr Sikandar, and Dr Arif, along with technical staff to assist in the examination process. Following the completion of the medical check-up, the doctors departed from Adiala Jail. The medical examination report of the PTI founder will be compiled today.
On the other hand, the medical treatment records of PTI founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail have been sent to the Punjab Home Department.
According to sources, a complete chart of the PTI founder’s vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature and blood sugar levels, has also been forwarded. Reports regarding his eye condition, consultant opinions and details of the medical staff have likewise been sent to the Home Department.
Yesterday, Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar had already announced that the eye of PTI founder Imran Khan will be treated by specialist ophthalmologists at a dedicated medical facility.
In a statement posted on X, the minister said that further examination and treatment of Imran Khan’s eye would be carried out by ophthalmologists at a special medical institution as part of the continuation of his ongoing medical care.
Atta Tarar added that a detailed medical report would also be submitted to the Supreme Court of Pakistan. He urged the public and political stakeholders to avoid speculation, baseless reports, and attempts to politicise the matter for personal gain. The minister emphasised that the government is ensuring appropriate medical care and transparency regarding the former prime minister’s health.
