ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) is facing severe criticism after Imran Khan’s sisters appeared on Indian news channels who they earlier called fake news machine.

To every Pakistani’s surprise, Noreen Niazi and Aleema Khan, two sisters of Imran Khan, gave interviews to Indian news channels, who had earlier launched a fake news war against Pakistan and its armed forces.

Noreen Niazi told the Indian news outlet that this “the darkest era in Pakistan’s history,” saying, “One word from Imran, his workers will break jail gates and rescue him.”

The PTI founder’s sisters, while sitting on Indian news channels, criticised the armed forces of Pakistan at the time when the Modi regime is planning to carry out strikes against Pakistan as part of the so-called Operation Sindoor 2.

Their appearance on the Indian media outlets has caused public outrage across Pakistan. The move is facing severe backlash, even from the PTI’s own workers.

One user scolded the party saying that “When PTI leaders and even Imran Khan’s sisters appear on Indian channels and speak against Pakistan, it shows exactly why this party has become a major security risk. No patriotic person can ignore this anymore.”

Another user took to X and lashed out at PTI stating “Shame on PTI. Ghaddar or pti intishario main koi frq ni rha. Noreen niazi indians media py beth k pakistan or pak army ko dhamkian dy rhi hain.”

Social media users also shown their support to Pakistan army “I was actually Woman General Secretary for PTI, and yes I saw the moral, ethical, and financial corruption first hand there. Stay delusional. Also, I would support army any day over anyone pushing their narratives on Indian national TV and their other right wing media outlets today. What a shame.”

Media analysts in Pakistan say the channels’ behaviour raises serious questions about why an Indian outlet remains fixated on amplifying unrest around Imran Khan and his supporters. Many observers have also often accused these ‘channels’ of anti-Pakistan hostility.

Analysts argue this “manufactured coverage” is part of a familiar pattern in which Indian media uses outdated or misleading visuals to shape a narrative of chaos inside Pakistan.

The question arises, what is the reason that the controversial Indian media aka fake news machine is covering Imran Khan and PTI day and night?
