PTI lawmakers end sit-in outside KP house

Members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in the National Assembly and Senate have ended their sit-in outside the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House.

Chief Minister Suhail Afridi and Ali Amin Gandapur have also left the protest site at the KP House and the road in front of the building has been reopened for traffic.

The Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly of Pakistan has convened a meeting of opposition members at the Parliament House, sources said.

According to sources, opposition members currently staying at the Parliament Lodges have also been summoned to the Parliament House.

The opposition is expected to review the situation arising from the sit-in held over the past three days. Sources added that opposition lawmakers will deliberate on adopting a tough course of action over members being confined to the Parliament House and Lodges.

There is also a possibility that the opposition may jointly move a motion of privilege against the administration sources said.

Meanwhile, opposition members continue their sit-in outside the Parliament House premises. According to Barrister Gohar the protest has been staged for the approval of their demands.

He confirmed that opposition members are still sitting outside Parliament House as part of their ongoing demonstration. The sit-in outside Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House in Islamabad ended abruptly. Participants vacated the road outside and moved inside KP House bringing the roadside protest to a close.

Following the move routes leading to Ministers Enclave, Judges Colony and Punjab House were reopened for traffic.
