Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) central leader Senator Mashal Yousafzai has sought assurances that militants will not return once the operation concludes, arguing that the real challenge begins after the clearance phase.
In this regard, the DG ISPR has repeatedly clarified the procedure of the operation, but the real question is after the operation.
Mashal Yousafzai stated while taking to a private TV channel program.
“Who will guarantee that the provincial government of KP will actually take control of these areas, maintain the writ and the development process will move forward? The past is a witness that after the operation, the areas are often left empty, the civil administration does not return effectively, the police and district system remain weak and development promises remain buried in files, which the extremists take advantage of again. DG ISPR has repeatedly clarified the procedure of the operation number of times in this respect.
Therefore, the question is not whether peace will be restored or not, the question is whether Mashal Yousafzai can give a written guarantee that this time after the operation, the provincial government will actually be able to maintain the state writ and governance or will again leave the province at the mercy of the terrorists for their own political interests.
