Peshawar: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership suffered a major setback in Peshawar.
Their rally in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial capital failed miserably. Workers lamented the unreliable and hopeless leadership.
The venue lacked interest from workers, resulting in a very poor turnout.
During the scheduled rally, a desolate scene began to unfold at Maidan Khani. Shahid Khan, who was present, reported significant disorganisation.
For instance, the party issued the rally message two days prior, setting the start time for 12 noon.
However, the time reached 3 o’clock, but the rally still could not begin. Neither the senior leadership nor the workers were present in large numbers.
Downfall of PTI
Consequently, workers have become quite disappointed with the party. Earlier, PTI rallies always saw huge crowds of enthusiastic workers attending.
Now, PTI workers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa suffer from deep apathy. The primary reason for this decline remains the perceived incompetence of the leadership.
The rally attendance highlighted this disappointment across all groups. Specifically, the usual massive participation of women was negligible this time. Only a few women were visible at the rally venue.
Citizen Abdul Basir commented on the poor attendance at the familiar rally spot. He observed that the PTI used to rally for the PTI Founder’s release.
Now, they hold rallies simply to meet him, showing that their bad times have arrived. He argued that the workers now clearly understand that their leadership is not serious.
Therefore, workers no longer leave their homes to attend events.
