The political comedy surrounding PTI’s online propaganda machine continues, with YouTuber Zeeshan Aziz now presenting the imposition of governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as a supposed master plan by party founder Imran Khan.
In his recent vlog, Aziz claimed that governor’s rule was essentially part of Imran Khan’s strategy, offering yet another explanation for the political crisis facing PTI in the province.
The narrative raises an obvious question: when did political failure become a master plan?
Instead of confronting the questions surrounding PTI’s political strategy and leadership in KP, party-aligned YouTubers appear eager to turn every setback into a carefully crafted conspiracy or some grand scheme attributed to Imran Khan.
Former KP chief minister Sohail Afridi’s political leadership has also faced scrutiny amid the province’s changing political situation. Yet, rather than examining the party’s decisions and shortcomings, sections of PTI’s online support base continue to manufacture explanations that portray every development as part of a bigger game.
Critics have long accused politically aligned YouTubers of exploiting partisan audiences for views, engagement and revenue. The latest claim has added fuel to that criticism, with detractors questioning whether these commentators are offering serious political analysis or simply repackaging a crisis as a victory for their favourite leader.
Calling governor’s rule an Imran Khan master plan is a convenient narrative, but a claim does not become a fact simply because a YouTuber presents it confidently in a vlog.
The central question remains: if this was genuinely Imran Khan’s plan, where is the evidence?
For now, the claim has provided fresh material for critics who see PTI’s online political commentary as an endless exercise in turning every setback into a supposed strategic triumph.
