A video on social media is surfacing in which the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader, Shafi Jan, is speaking to the media. During the conversation, a journalist asked Shafi Jan if he is in a relationship with a transgender woman, Gul Chahat.
The journalist also said that an MPA from Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) confirmed your relationship with transgender Gul Chahat. After the question, the PTI worker started protesting and said, “ye sawal ghalat hai, iska jawab nai daina chahye.”
The PTI senior leader and MPA, Shafi Jan, didn’t answer the question and walked away.
In the recent past, Shafi Jan was the one who used foul language and gave problematic statements against PMLN’s female MPA and provincial minister, Azma Bukhari.
However, after getting a strong response from the media and civil society, Shafi Jan apologised for his insensitive statement against a female politician.

A fake notification claiming Punjab ministers received a 40 million rupee grant for personal makeup and presentation expenses has been circulating on social media.
A notification circulated on social media in recent days claiming that the Punjab government had approved a special grant of 40 million rupees for personal makeup and presentation expenses of senior Punjab Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb and Information and Culture Minister Azma Zahid Bukhari.
The notification is dated January 12, 2026. Many users have questioned the authenticity of the document.
Responding to the matter, Punjab Information and Culture Minister Azma Zahid Bukhari said the notification is fake and fabricated.
