How can bikers apply for fuel subsidy in Punjab

The government of Punjab has announced a petrol subsidy for bikers to reduce the burden on common people since the prices of petroleum products were increased yesterday.

Under this fuel subsidy scheme, motorcycle owners can now get 20 litres of petrol per month at a discounted rate of Rs100 per litre.

The Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, took to the social media platform X, formerly Twitter, to announce the method.

How to apply for Punjab bikers fuel subsidy

The people of Punjab can now easily get the petrol subsidy starting tomorrow. Here are some simple steps you can follow:

  • Call the number 100
  • There, you have to use the ‘Maryam ko batayen’ app
  • Then, you can go to the web portal: http://mkb.punjab.gov.pk

The post adds, “In addition to that, now there will be no charges on the Registration or Transfer of any motorbike in Punjab.”

This means that from now on, the registration and transfer of motorbikes in Punjab province will be without any charges.

CM Maryam further added, “We are committed to easing the burden on the common man.”

Petrol subsidy for transport sector

This is not all, CM Maryam announced another subsidy today, for the transport sector in Punjab.

CM Maryam took to the social media platform X, formerly Twitter, to inform about the targeted subsidy.

She stated, “In light of the surge in international oil prices driven by ongoing global crises and conflict, pressure on domestic fuel costs has become unavoidable.

Further, she added, “To mitigate this impact, Punjab has introduced a targeted monthly subsidy: Rs70,000 for registered goods transport vehicles, Rs80,000 for large transport vehicles, and Rs100,000 for public service buses.”

She explained further that this relief has been extended to ease the operational burden of the people.

Petrol price in Pakistan 2026

Yesterday, the Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik held an important press conference.

During the press conference, they announced the increase in petrol prices in Pakistan, from Rs322 per litre to Rs458.40 paisa per litre.

The diesel prices have been increased to Rs520.35 paisa. The new prices are applicable from today.
