Punjab’s education minister said that the government is currently analysing the situation carefully, assuring that the decision will be taken in the public interest. Punjab government will officially announce the decision regarding extension in school holidays if needed, Rana Sikandar Hayat added.
Education is government’s priority
Punjab’s education minister Rana Sikandar Hayat stressed that the continuation of education in Pakistan is the government’s top priority. Rumours are creating uncertainty among students and parents, which must be stopped, Rana Sikandar added.
It is pertinent to mention that fake news is being spread on social media regarding the extension of school holidays in Punjab for the last two to three days. However, the provincial government confirmed that no decision has been made yet regarding the extension of school holidays.
