Acting on the directives of the Punjab Chief Minister, the Home Department has ordered police and district administrations across Punjab to ensure foolproof security arrangements.
A comprehensive three-layer security plan has been rolled out for Eid ul Fitr prayers, with additional personnel deployed to maintain strict surveillance at all places of worship.
Authorities have implemented enhanced screening measures, including the installation of CCTV cameras at walk-through gates and the use of metal detectors for the physical checking of every individual entering prayer venue.
Parking areas to be designated at safe distance
Parking areas will be designated at a safe distance from prayer venues, and thorough combing operations will be conducted in and around mosques and imambargahs.
Special attention will also be given to the security of hotels, restaurants, Eid bazaars and other public places.
Strict monitoring of banned organisations
Strict monitoring of banned organisations and individuals listed in the Fourth Schedule will be ensured.
An effective traffic management plan will be implemented to regulate vehicle flow around places of worship. The display of weapons is strictly prohibited, and checkpoints will be established at all city and interprovincial entry and exit points.
All Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, RPOs, HPOs, and DPOs across the province, including the CCP Lahore, have been directed to ensure the implementation of this security plan.
