Punjab launches first “sahulat on-the-go bazaar” in Lahore

Web Desk: Lahore has introduced the first-ever “Sahulat on the go bazaar”, a new step aimed to provide affordable goods to citizens while ensuring dignified livelihoods for street vendors and Lahore is Punjab’s first city having such facility for its citizens.

Maryam Nawaz has launched the more than 400 stalls have been allocated through an open ballot to vendors. In the Sahulat Bazzar first phase 10 On-the-Go bazaars have been established across the metropolitan city, including Gulshan-e-Ravi, Shadman, Madar-e-Millat Road, Madina Market, Township, Sundar Road, Kotha Pind, and Faisal Town.

According to details these bazaars are equipped with proper security arrangements, clean washrooms, and an efficient sanitation system to ensure a pleasant environment for both vendors and shoppers. It is planned by the government to make five more such bazaars functional in Lahore by February.

On the direction of CP Punjab the authorities to expand the project to other areas of Lahore and eventually across Punjab other cities as well. CM said the initiative as part of Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif’s vision of a clean and beautiful Lahore.

On this occasion, Maryam Nawaz said that she could feel the happiness of vendors who now own their own stalls. She stated that every vendor can proudly say today that this is my shop. She added that real development is one that benefits hardworking and underprivileged citizens.

CM Punjab green tractor scheme: waiting list farmers given deadline

Earlier, it was reported that the Department of Agriculture, Punjab (DAP), issued a warning to farmers on the waiting list for the CM Punjab High Power Green Tractors Program.

It has been stated that applicants must submit their share of the payment by the deadline. If not, they may risk losing their tractor allotment, according to a social media notice from DAP.

Under the Green Tractor Scheme, farmers receive a subsidy of PKR 1 million per tractor.

It has allowed them to purchase modern tractors ranging from 50 to 85 horsepower. All of it is manufactured locally.

Eligible manufacturers include Millat Tractor Company, Al-Ghazi Tractors Limited, and other domestic producers.

Farmers can select their preferred tractor through the online registration portal.
