Punjab Police Service Centers are actively providing digital services to citizens across the province.
According to a spokesperson for Punjab Police, more than 170,000 citizens have availed various services from these centers during the current period.
The spokesperson said that 76,807 citizens have obtained general police verification services. Inspector General of Police Punjab stated that Police Service Centers are offering facilities to citizens round the clock, ensuring 24/7 service delivery.
The IG Punjab added that millions of citizens are benefiting from the services of Police Service Centers and based on public feedback, these services are being further upgraded to improve efficiency and convenience.
In a separate development the Punjab Sahulaat Bazaars Authority has completed the free home delivery of more than 301,200 orders of essential food items across the province.
The service was launched under the vision of the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
There was an official statement released on Saturday that confirmed the progress.
This initiative is the first government-run project in Punjab to provide free home delivery of food items at subsidised prices.
Punjab Sahulat Bazaars
Its aim is to give direct relief to citizens by delivering daily necessities to their homes.
The service is currently active in 35 cities through 46 Sahulaat Bazaars.
Residents can order essential food items without paying any delivery charges.
Under the scheme, prices of 13 basic food items are set up to 7 per cent lower than the officially notified DC rates.
Citizens can place their orders through a dedicated mobile application.

The app is available on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. PSBA riders handle the delivery and ensure items reach homes on time.
The items offered include potatoes, onions, tomatoes, pumpkin, garlic, apples, bananas, dates, lemons, guava, and watermelon.
Other than that, pulses and staples such as chickpeas, gram flour, wheat flour, and sugar are also available.
